The Bill Jefferson Show

The Bill Jefferson Show is a television program featuring traditional country music and airing on WPXR, the ION network affiliate in Roanoke, Virginia. The program is filmed in Rocky Mount, Virginia, the beginning of the “crooked road” which is an area known for its contribution to traditional American music. The show airs in 39 regions encompassing central and southwest Virginia as well as parts of West Virginia and North Carolina. Notable is the fact that it is reminiscent of the early days of country and western music with cast members dressed in cowboy attire and the use of instrumentation such as steel guitar, banjo and fiddle.
