Ralph Feigin

Ralph Feigin

Ralph David Feigin (April 3 1938August 14 2008) was an American pediatrician whose influential book "Textbook of Pediatric Infectious Diseases" was in its sixth printing at the time of his death.

Life and career

Feigin was born in Manhattan and graduated from Columbia University. He earned his medical degree from Boston University in 1962.

After conducting research for the United States Army from 1965 to 1967, Feigin was a professor of pediatrics at Washington University Feigin took a faculty appointment at the Baylor College of Medicine in 1977 and was president from 1996 to 2003.
