Her Majesty The Queen’s Medal for Shooting Excellence is a British military decoration awarded to the champion of the Operational Shooting Competition [ [http://www2.army.mod.uk/sportandadventure/clubs/shooting_ara/service_shooting/index.htm] army.mod - SERVICE COMPETITION SHOOTING IN THE ARMY] and the Joint Service Central Skill-At-Arms Meeting [ [http://www.rnrmra.org/Documents/CENTSAAMDINDRAFT2007v3.pdf Competitive combat shooting - RN and RM ] ] . This is the only shooting medal that can be worn in uniform.

Operational Shooting Competition

The Operational Shooting Competition is the army competion, held each year as part of the Central Skill-at-Arms Meeting. This meet is held at the National Shooting Centre at Bisley and on the MOD ranges in close vicinity.
