"Someone Like You" is the second and last single off We Have an Emergency, the debut album of the garage rock side project The Operation M.D., comprised of Todd Morse (of H2O and Juliette and the Licks fame) and Cone McCaslin (of Sum 41 fame). It was released on July 19, 2007, after the release of the actual album.
The song is one of three songs on the album that features bassist Cone McCaslin on lead vocals, and is all acoustic, with Todd Morse and Cone McCaslin both playing acoustic guitars.
Like the first single "Sayonara", the song was only released as a promotional music video single that aired only in Canada on MuchMusic and Musique Plus, and wasn't released as a digital single or on an actual CD.
Video
The music video, like for the first video, was also directed by Sum 41 drummer Steve Jocz and features the band members as they prepare for a show backstage and then performing on a small stage with acoustic guitars while dancers and strippers are dancing around them. The video cuts back and forth to them playing on stage with the strippers and sitting backstage at the make-up room.
