- Porsche 9FF GT9
The 9ff GT9 is basically a Porsche 911 that has a different body shape and is more powerful. It's built by German tuning company 9ff, founded by Jan Fatthauer. The base car is a Porsche 911 (997) Turbo which is extensively rebuilt/lighted and fitted with a heavily modified 4.0 litre H-6 that produces 987 HP (close to the Bugatti Veyron's 1001 HP).
9ff has proclaimed that they will only make 20 conversions to a cost of ~£350,000, all of which are allegedly already sold.
If you count this extremely limited series as a "production car" and disregard that it is really a tuned Porsche, the 9ff GT9 is currently the world fastest production car at 255 MPH beating the Bugatti Veyron's record of 253 MPH.
It takes the 9ff 4,2 seconds to reach 60 MPH (2,5 for the Bugatti Veyron), and 17.6 seconds to reach 186 MPH (0.6 of a second faster than a Veyron). The car weighs around 1326 kilos which makes it ultra-light. The 9ff has a 6 speed gearbox.
The interior of the car is very basic, with a blue leather, square patterned trim.
Inside it has a anti-roll bar cage for safety.
