"Risen" is a is a single-player fantasy-themed action-oriented computer role-playing game under development by the German company Piranha Bytes, and published by Deep Silver, due to be released in 2009.

Plot

The beginning of the game will have the protagonist shipwrecked after a storm on the Forbidden Island, home to an active volcano. Ancient temple ruins have recently risen from the ground, and bizarre creatures infest the island. Added to the situation, the Inquisition forbids anyone to exist the city of the island.
