Rebecca Rippon

Rebecca Rippon is an Australian water polo player. She was a member of the Australia women's national water polo team that won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Born in Sydney Rebecca took up the sport at school when they needed swimmers for the team - she also had two older brothers who played and it looked like fun. Her role model is Simone Hankin, who has given her the encouragement and support she needed and has shown her what it means to be dedicated.

Winning the National Club Championships in 2002 and two silver medals at the World Junior Championships, rank as her proudest moments in sport and her ambition is to live for now and not look too far ahead.

Rebecca's sister Melissa Rippon and step sister Kate Gynther are also members of the Australian Women Water polo Team.
