Claudia Lonow (b. January 26, 1963) is an American actress, comedian and performer turned television writer and producer.

Early life
Claudia Lonow was born and raised in New York City, where she attended the High School of Music and Art, and began studying acting.
Born Claudia Rapaport, she is the daughter of JoAnne Astrow and David Rapaport, she is the half-sister of Erik Rapaport and film and television actor Michael Rapaport (The War at Home, My Name is Earl). She is the stepdaughter of Mark Lonow, whose surname she adopted professionally.
Actor
Lonow's acting career began with her role as "Diana Fairgate" on Knots Landing, in which she appeared from 1979 to 1984.
TV series creator/writer/producer
Her behind-the-scenes career took off with her creation, co-production and writing of Rude Awakening, a television series which aired on Showtime from 1998–2001 and starred actresses Sherilyn Fenn and Rain Pryor. Lonow also created, wrote and produced the comedy series Good Girls Don't.
Lonow held writing and consulting producer credits on the TV series Less Than Perfect. She also wrote and co-executive produced of the FOX series The War at Home.
