Proper Records is a record label set up in 1996 by Malcolm Mills and Paul Riley. It started as a reissue label, releasing 4CD "Properboxes" sets of old jazz, country, and rock n roll artists. The label is now best known for its artist roster, which includes Joan Baez, Richard Thompson, Andy Fairweather Low, Little Feat, Nick Lowe, Sonny Landreth, Blind Boys Of Alabama, Mary Gauthier, Drumbo and Robyn Hitchcock.
