House of Plantagenet - Kings of England (1154–1399)
When Catholic monarch Mary I of England (reigned from 1553 until 1558) took to the throne there was a brief mending of relations between Plantagenet-Yorkists and Tudors. Mary made Reginald Pole the Counter-Reformation Archbishop of Canterbury. She also released her friend Gertrude Blount's prominent Yorkist son Edward Courtenay, 1st Earl of Devon from the Tower of London.
