- Paco Romane
Paco Romane is a comedian, actor, multi-instrumentalist, humorist, writer, and stand up comedian based in San Francisco after leaving the great midwest. His true love is comedy. He has a large fan base and his short comedy films have won him numerous awards and a big following.
Style
Romane's sense of humor is based in the Second City sketch comedy tradition. Onstage, his comedy is a mix of absurdisms, characters, story-telling and unique observations. He believes he got his sense of humor from watching a lot of SNL, David Letterman, Monty Python and making up Knock-Knock jokes with his grandmother. He was, of course, the class clown in all of his classes, but also Student Class President, which gave him even more jokes.

"If you choose to attend The Romane Event -- and I recommend that you do -- check your skepticism at the door. Show up early and have a beer. Introduce yourself to a nice-looking stranger. In this frame of mind, you'll best be able to appreciate that the person on stage is trying very hard to make you laugh, often by turning human suffering inside-out. It's a tall order, what these comics are attempting. But it's absolutely noble." NPR [http://www.kqed.org/arts/performance/article.jsp?essid=12402]
