LiveWire Chicago Theatre

LiveWire Chicago Theatre is an Illinois not-for-profit theater arts organization based in Chicago. LiveWire, established in 2006, is a collective company of artists with a common drive to develop theatre that is unique and vital to the world we live in. Their mission is to expose honesty in the modern theatre of both new and established playwrights.

Past seasons have included the works of Jean-Paul Sartre "No Exit" [ [http://donhall.blogspot.com/2006/11/no-exit-conclusions.html] ] , Timberlake Wertenbaker "Love of the Nightingale" [ [http://www.chicagoreader.com/features/stories/theaterreviews/2007/070413/] ] , Mark Healy's adaptation of John Fowles' novel "The Collector" [ [http://www.jeffawards.org/index.php?action=current_nominees&wing=nonequity] ] and original work "A/other Lover" [ [http://www.timeout.com/chicago/articles/theater/18636/a-other-lover] ] and "Soldiers: The Desert Stand" [ [https://www.timeout.com/chicago/articles/theater/28509/soldiers-the-desert-stand] ] by Joshua Aaron Weinstein.

Their forthcoming, 2008-09 season includes their first annual festival of short plays, "VisionFest" [ [http://newcitystage.com/2008/08/22/preview-visionfestlivewire-chicago-theatre/] ] , along with Eric Bogosian's "Red Angel" and David Lindsay-Abaire's "Wonder of the World".
