Wheezer, Dickie, Dorothy, and Spanky's Uncle George is in town. Uncle George manages a show called "Wild Man From Borneo", featuring an intellectually challenged African American man with a mentality of a six year old child. The kids' father refuses to let Uncle George come over so their mother has the kids visit him at the show location. Their mother explains to the kids that Uncle George is the black sheep of the family. Stymie is visiting and thinks that this means that Uncle George is African American.
They come to the show location and another worker tells the kids that Uncle George will be right there. They mistake the Wild Man From Borneo (a man dressed with horns) himself for Uncle George. The Wild Man spots Stymie's candy, grabs it, shouts "Yumm Yumm Eat Em Up!!!", and chases the kids back to their house. When there, the wild man asks for more candy, saying "“Yum, yum, eat em’ up!”" and chases the kids throughout the house. When there, the wild man chases them, messes the house up, eats everything in the refrigerator whole (including containers), drinks wine, gets drunk, messes the house more and continues chasing the kids. The father and mother arrive. Dickie says Uncle George was there. He looks for him and finds out that its something far worse, the actual Wild Man who throws him out the window.
This film was withdrawn from the syndicated Little Rascals package in 1971 due to percieved racism toward African Americans as well as mistreatment of handicapped people. Today, "Kid From Borneo" is one of a handful of "Our Gang" films in the
public domain , as its copyright was not renewed in the 1990s.Cast
