Method of indivisibles

Method of indivisibles

The method of indivisibles "(Cavalieri's principle)" is a means of determining the area / volume of geometric objects. In this method the area / volume of the given object is described as the sum of very small indivisible substances. Say, to compute the area of a square, we can add the indivisible straight lines that gives the result.

This work is similar to the integral calculus.
