1956 Perth Carnival

The 1956 Perth Carnival was the 13th Australian rules football interstate carnival. Billed as the 'Australian Football Championship, it took place from June 11 to June 23 at Subiaco Oval, Perth.

Five teams competed in the carnival, hosts Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Victorian Football League (VFL) and the Victorian Football Association (VFA). The VFL finished the fortnight unbeaten while Tasmania equaled their best performance ever by finishing third.
