Thomas Raymond Johnson (born April 2, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota) was a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox organizations. Johnson was signed as an undrafted free agent in by|1970. After four years in the Twins' minor league system, he made his major league debut September 10, 1974. Johnson racked up twenty-three wins as a starter, then later a closer, over five years with the Twins, including sixteen in by|1977. After the by|1978 season, Johnson was released, and signed a year later by the White Sox. He became a starter for the White Sox triple-A affiliate in Glens Falls, but was largely unsuccessful. After the by|1980 season, Johnson retired at the age of twenty-nine.cite web |url=http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/J/tom-johnson.shtml |title=Tom Johnson Statistics |work= The Baseball Cube |accessdate=2008-08-17]
