Wichita National Forest

Wichita National Forest was established as the Wichita Forest Reserve by the General Land Office in Oklahoma on July 4, 1901 with 57,120 acres. After the transfer of federal forests to the U.S. Forest Service in 1905, it became a National Forest on March 4, 1907. On November 27, 1936 the forest was abolished.
