Aïssata Soulama

Aïssata Soulama (born February 11 1979) is a Burkinabé athlete who specialises in the 400m hurdles. Some sources suggest she is Burundian.fact|date=August 2008 BBC live coverage indicated that she is from Burkina Faso which contradicts the IAAF website.

She competed in Athletics at the 2008 Summer Olympics - Women's 400 metre hurdles ‎ where she marginally qualified for the second round, being the slowest of the qualifiers with a time of 56.37 seconds. She is 5 ft 7 inches and weighs 126 lbs.

Aissata Soulama was born on February 11th 1979 in Burkina Faso (Africa). She is 170cm tall and whieghs 57kg. At the age of 29 she has already compeated in two olympics. The 2008 Beijing summer olympics and the 2004 Athens summer olympics. Aissata compeats in the athletics section of the track and field compitition and specialises in 400m Hurdles.

In 2004 She came 7th in her first heat with a time of 57.60. In 2008 she came 5th in her heat and made it through to the semi finals with the slowest time out of everyone in the semi's, 56.37, in the semi finals she came 5th in her heat with a time of 55.69. This ment that she did not make it through to the Finals.

Aissata enjoys doing the 400m hurdles but her wish is to be in the steeple chase.
