Kesho Y. Scott

Kesho Y. Scott

Kesho Y. Scott is an associate professor of Sociology at Grinnell College. Her interests include, black women in America, multiculturalism, and unlearning racism. Her research has included a Fulbright fellowship in Ethiopia, and visiting professorships in London and Nanjing. She is the author of several books, including "The Habit of Surviving", and "Tight Spaces", which was the winner of the 1988 American Book Award.

Scott was recently awarded the Cristine Wilson Medal for Equality and Justice by the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women. [ [http://www.press-citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080805/NEWS01/808050331/1079] ]
