Lori Beth Garver (born May 22, 1961 in
Lansing, Michigan ) is a former NASA associate administrator for policy and space activist.In 2001, she initiated the Astromom commercial sponsorship campaign for a space tourism mission to the International Space Station with a seat on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft. The effort ended upon the news of the Space Shuttle Columbia accident.
Garver is an aerospace consultant affiliated with the Avascent Group in Washington, DC. She is a past Executive Director of the National Space Society.
