Beka, NWFP

Beka is a town and Union Council of Swabi District in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. History

This land gives birth to the world famous outstanding contributed people. But unfortunately the village is not growing as it needs to be. New Beka was founded when old Beka was flooded. People from old Beka Migrated to the Parallel land ( Existing Beka) and also new villages came in Mape e.g Nabi, Salah, Beka Dehri, Haryan, Baloo, Zakirya etc.New Beka came in existing nearly 300 years ago in the result of diversion of river Indus. It was the part of Hund/ Hinds Empire very long time ago when Greek kingdom was ruling in the area. The Name Beka is from Greek word.Later on Sher Shah Suri made a strategic review to protect his kingdom from attacks. He shake a hand with local people to get their favour.But Mughals dynasty king Akbar made a proper reforms and he built Akbar fort and sent some of his forces to settle in the area.At that time the area of Beka was covered from Hund /hind to Attock.It been came in different rulers treaty, e.g. Indo-Greek Kingdom, Ashoka, Mughals , British rules and now is part of Pakistan.The river Indus was diverted around 300-315 years ago. Nawab Majeed Khan (Yusufzai), Khawas Khan (Yusufzai), Shahbaz Khan(Yusuf Zai) Bacha Sahib,Khattak clan, and Blair Khel clan (pormoli) and others skills workers migrate to new Beka.

People

People of Beka are famous for their hospitality. They are brave and look after their guest. They say guest is mercy of GOD.Most of people working in Middle East and Europe to support their families. people are very hard workers and moderate by nature.In Village Beka, Yusuf zai, Khattak, Shahib zadgan (bacha sb ), Balar Khel (pormoli) are living in majority. The people have strong unity among themselves and living peace fully.

The highly educated figures are Nero Surgen (Rtd Lt General) Mohd Nisar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Fazal Akbar Khan, Mohd Ameen Khan Aero natical Engg (US), Nawab Ali Tariq (Rtd) are well educated people.

The most famous with highly education Business man Sabz Ali Khan (sb) belong to this village. He is well know person in South Wales. He is considered the key pillar in minority Community of South wales with his outstanding achievement and contribution.Khan (sb) is the son of Haji Mohabat Khan (late) social welfare activist. Haji Mohabat Khan devoted his life for the welfare of people. He was very gentle and kind. He aim to bring education in the region. He was keen to educate women as equal to man. He donate most of his land to educational institution. e.g Land to Govt Girls High School Beka, Govt High school for Boys, Girls Primary schools and also to hospital and to grave yard.He also encourage at that time Religion institution to educate their student in school (state education) for prospective future.

Dr Nasir Khan

Neru Surgeon Lt General (Rtd) Nisar Khan belongs to Beka. He is the proud of NWFP. Like Dr Q Khan, Mr Nisar Khan have his own outstanding contribution in Pak Army.He is a well known Medical Nero Surgeon. He is very competent in Medical sciences as well good Army General.He is sympathetic man by nature and always gave free treatment to poor people. He never charged people for their expensive operation from Beka. He is the pride of Beka.He received a lot of Medeals.He settled in Islamabad, living with his wife and children.

Aurang Zeb Khan

Aurang Zeb Khan (Zeb Construction) is a famous contractor, Currently living in Peshawar with his family. He was engaged initially in politics but due to his business pressure he quit the politics.

Nawab Family

Nawab ALi Tariq (Rtd Principal of Technical education) was educated from UK, and Austria. He transfered all his skills and knowledge to his country.Like his father Haji Mohabat Khan, he running so many welfare organisation for the welfare of people.He wrote four Books, Naseem Saghar, Payaar ki manzaal, and one in English Eleven Star,and currently is working on Zandagi. All the books are full of humours and advice.He wrote these books from his personal life experience.Mr Nawab Ali Tariq also donated land for Islamic Center for women. He looking for sponsor to build up this women institute to facilitate the women with Islamic, English, computer and Health education. Currently women are getting some education in different places under the supervision of Islamic Center, but unfortunately they don't have a proper place.

Haji Mohabat Khan (late) younger son Amjad Ali Khan is solicitor in UK. His wife is well known barrister at court. He is success full man in law career. His company name is Khan Solicitors.He gave is luxury bunglow to private school ( The Muslim Model School)to complete his father mission of education.People have opportunity of English education to get in his own village.

Mr Abdul wahaib Khan is famous for compromise and solving the disputes on the district and Tehsil Level. he is very help full for the local admanistration.He is decision is very authentic and the people appreciate his efforts regarding the desputed issues.

Mr Umar Farooq is Chartered Accountant by profession, educated from UK top Universities with distinction in Msc in Financial, Legal & management. He was the first Asian man who made a exemplary outstanding records at University in London.His parents Nawab Ali Tariq, and mother were sponsor by University for his graduation ceremony at Barbican Center london in November 2006.Voice chancellor say thanks to Nawab family for participating and appreciate the academic achievement of his son Mr Farooq. He say " I am very pleased to meet Mr Farooq parents it was my desire to see those people who give birth to Mr Farooq".Further Mr Chancellor said that "Brave always born in Cottages".Govt of Pakistan offered him executive jobs contract but he fell sorry for it. He is working in Planinng & development in one of the UK top organisation.

Bacha Sahib

Bacha shaib basically from sahibzadagan family, very respected all over the Indian continent. There fore parents are educated from Bukhara( Central Asia).Bacha sahib was performed the duties of religious affairs (consultant) in King Akbar time. WIth close relation with Khuwaja Nazamuddin Chasti, he was advised to go to North,West to facilitate the people from his education and Tib(tab) services.Initially he settled in Old Beka, Than some of family mnoved to Haryan, and than Beka to facilitate with the Islamic education.Every year they Celebrate Ours(owers) in the memories of their parents. People from all over the world they come for celebration.They have a also strong link with Ajmer sharif.

River Indus

River Indus is flowing in front edge of Beka village. It was river Indus its destroyed old Beka in fluid. The people settled in parallel side in their land.River Indus is now is the place of entertainment. People comes from away for picnic and parties.The fresh fish from the Indus are very famous all over the country. Once you will eat it you will come back again. This is speciality of Beka.On another side of River is Punjab treaty. There are still have dispute over the land, because this land is belong to the Beka people.
