"Swords & Soldiers" is a 2D sidescrolling real-time strategy game in development for WiiWare by Ronimo Games. The game was first announced on August 15, 2008 and is currently slated for a release in the fourth quarter of 2008 in Europe, North America, and Australia. Gameplay

In "Swords & Soldiers", three factions (the Aztecs, the Vikings and an unannounced third faction) are fighting each other to gain the powers of the gods. The game boasts both a single player campaign for all three factions and a skirmish mode, as well as competitive split-screen multiplayer and several other modes players can unlock by playing the game. The aim of the game is to conquer the enemy's base on the other side of the play area. Players collect gold and mana which is used to purchase units and spells respectively. After being built units automatically begin marching towards the enemies base, and players cast spells to either strengthen their own units or directly attack their enemies. Players must make strategic decisions on what units to build and when to send them out.

One of Ronimo Games' co-founders, Fabian Akker, said in the press release that "We always dreamed of designing an RTS and when WiiWare came out we immediately figured that this was our chance."
