Aberlady, Gullane and North Berwick Railway , it was absorbed by theNorth British Railway . Although the line was intended to reach North Berwick, Gullane remained the terminus as the line east was never constructed.The station passed on to the
London and North Eastern Railway during the Grouping of 1923. That company then closed to passengers nine years later, although the line was still open to freight until later.rail line
