The King of
Nepal was traditionally known as the Mahārājdhirāja (श्री 5 महाराजधिराज); his queen was known as the Badāmahārānī (श्री ५ बडामहारानी). Themonarchy was founded in 1768 and was abolished on28 May 2008 by theNepalese Constituent Assembly .
