Macy Garcia is an actress in the Philippines and a product of a phenomenal talent search in the Philippines, StarStruck. Her grandmother is a Chinese descendant of the family, Sy. She is the granddaughter of Henry Sy, a mall tycoon owner. She is currently studying at University of the Philippines, with major of European Languages.

Career

Her first entertainment appearance is on Chalk, a magazine published by ABS-CBN Productions, when she was 15 tears old. After then, she became a talent of SM Acting Workshop. After some months, she audtitioned in StarStruck Season 3. Hopefully she entered the top 20 but she lost her place from Kimberly Guevarra, a former EB Babe. After the StarStruck exposure, she returned to theater but it was disputed because of GMA7's offer to her to play some cameo roles on some of its shows like Encantadia and many more. One of her biggest turn is when she become an officially a cast of a Philippine Drama, Magdusa Ka. Though she was included in the cast of GMA TV Series, Magdusa Ka and Ako si Kim Sam Soon, she was not notable enough to have her own break. Her biggest notability is playing the role of Macy in a Maynila's episode featuring Katrina Halili and Dennis Trillo. She was a good friend of Gretchen Espina, the first Pinoy Idol.

Notability

Many considered her a just an aspiring starlet of show business though it was found out that one of the program manager of GMA7 favors to give to Rhian Ramos the guestings that was offered to her. In an article on Pinoy Paparazzi, it was said that the program manager was already fired with the cases filed to him by other stars like LJ Reyes to GMA Network. As an apology for a late response, she was allowed to join Lipgloss, a TV-5 youth oriented show.
