La Victoria is a district in Alto Paraguay. It includes the town of La Victoria or Puerto La Victoria, which has a population of around 6,000.

La Victoria "or" (Puerto Casado) is a district and city in Upper Paraguay region, Paraguay, far away 674 km to the north of Asuncion, on To cool River.

Etymology

The Puerto Casado is a "Company Carlos Casado," founded in nineteenth century by a Spanishhuh established in the city of Rosario (Argentina).

Weather

The old station Kilometro 11, a former house is part of the old railway station of the company Carlos Casado, is one of the historic sites that are still standing in the locality.

Emiliano R. Fernandez, popular poet and musician, often called the "northern poet," to 1923 was in Puerto Casado, where performing several tasks, often their works are signed in Alto Paraguay.

As for handicrafts, in the early 80's a former worker of the company had the idea of making a guampa for his own use with pieces of stainless steel material that was used to store the tannin. The idea was warmly accepted and began to receive orders and the manufacturer improved technology and creating new models of guampa mate and terere. Today is manufactured in various designs on special orders for gift or as memories of Puerto Casado.

In Rivers Paraguay and Apa and in the many streams in the area, tourism is fishing.

Pilgrimage "Ñanda Yvyrekávo"
