Hillel Weiss is a tenured professor at The Joseph & Norman Berman Department of Literature of the Jewish People, Faculty of Jewish Studies, Bar-llan University,
Ramat-Gan , Israel. Served as head of the Department of Hebrew Literature and changed its name to the Department of Literature of the Jewish People. Edited the journal “Bokoret U’parshanut” a journal of literary criticism. Weiss is a researcher of modern Hebrew literature, who has been specializing in research on Agnon’s writing. He has published five books on the study of Agnon and other works that deal with modern Hebrew prose. He developed the computerized study of Agnon using Literary strategies, the database holds the complete works of S. Y. Agnon last edition 2,500,000 words that can be accessed online through a retrieval system. The access is through three main frames. Frame A: Poetics.
