World-record line

World-record line

World-record line is a CGI marker projected into the swimming pool on TV during the Olympic's swimming section to show the pace of the World record swimmer. A typical example is of the 2008 Summer Olympics where Michael Phelps (who was 3.84 seconds ahead) and other swimmers were clearly ahead of the world-record line, signifying that they were faster than the world record.
