Fabien Lefèvre (born
18 June 1982 inOrléans ) is a French whitewater kayaker.He won the K-1 event at the 2002 and 2003 World Championships. At the 2002 World Championships he also won a bronze medal in the K-1 team event. He then competed in the
2004 Summer Olympics inAthens . In the K-1 event he finished fourth in the qualification round, thus progressing to the semifinals. In the semifinals he finished sixth, managing to reach the final round. In the final he finished third, winning the Olympic bronze medal. CountryfellowBenoît Peschier and BritonCampbell Walsh finished ahead of him.At the 2005 World Championships he finished second in K-1 and first in K-1 team. He finished fifth at the 2006 World Championships. He also won the World Cup meets in 2005, Athens, and 2008, Prague. In the 2008 Olympic K-1 event he finished second in the qualification round, thus progressing to the semifinals. In the semifinals he finished third, managing to reach the final round. In the final he finished second behind
Alexander Grimm and won the Olympic silver medal.Lefèvre lives in
