The route 77 began operation in 1947 and originally ran between Kings Cross and Wallington. In 1953, the route was split into two sections. The 77A ran the route between Kings Cross and
Aldwych and the 77B ran the route between Aldwych and Wallington. In 1960, the route was withdrawn betweenEuston and Kings Cross. Between 1960 and 2005, the route underwent a number of significant changes in an attempt to shorten bus routes in London. Today, the route 77 runs betweenTooting railway station and Waterloo. There are future plans to further change the route.Current route
