Career
Ruitenbeek signed for Scottish Premier League side Dunfermline Athletic in June 2000 from Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles.[1] Earlier he played for AZ. He made his debut in a 3-0 friendly defeat against Dundee in August 2000.[2] Ruitenbeek played 90 games for the Pars until April 2004,[3] when he moved back to Holland to play for Hoofdklasse side SV Huizen. He played with the amateur side for one season, before hanging up his gloves in May 2005.
