- Kleine Feldhofer Grotte
Kleine Feldhofer Grotte was a cave, peloantrophologic site in Neandertal Vally. In this cave 60
Neanderthal specimens were unearthed. The bones come from at least 3 distinct individuals.The cave in limestone had dimension 3 m in width by 5 m in length by 3 m in height with 1 m opening 20 m above valley floor in south wall which height was 50 m. The location of the cave was forgoten and unknown by 1900. The cave was destroyed.
The successful search in 1997 for the cave and its deposit yielded "NN 13" bone which fit exactly onto the lateral side of the left lateral femoral condyle of
Neanderthal 1 . The 2000 search recovered thousands artefact's.references
