Vivian Shun-wen Wu (
Chinese name : 吳舜文;December 5 ,1913 –August 9 ,2008 ), born inChangzhou of theJiangsu Province ofChina , was abusinesswoman . She was the former chairwoman ofYulon Motor , a Taiwan-basedautomaker which is currently known for building automobiles under the brand ofNissan . And Wu also once acted as the chairwoman ofTai Yuen Textile , a textile producer, and China Motor, another automaker that under the brand ofMitsubishi Motors .Wu's father Wu Ching-yuen was a businessman of textile industry. She graduated from the
Saint John's University, Shanghai , and received her master's degree at theColumbia University . Her husbandYen Ching-ling , who moved to Taiwan with Wu in 1948, was the founder of Yulon. Their only son isKenneth K. T. Yen , the currentCEO of Yulon Group, a corporation which holds the Yulon Motor, Tai Yuen Textile, China motor, and other subsidiary companies. Wu died inTaipei on August 9, 2008.
