Kylmälänkylä

Kylmälänkylä

Kylmälänkylä is one of the longest villages in Finland. It belongs to the municipality of Muhos in the province of Oulun lääni. Kylmälänkylä has a very active village association.

The main focus in the village at the moment is to push a road development plan to the Muhos municipality council, as the roads in the area are in poor condition. Many children also find the heavy truck traffic dangerous. The road has received a new pavement since that and is much more comfortable to drive.

The future challenges of the village in the future are the elderly population and net-loss in the population, as the younger generations tend to move to Oulu after work and education. The village has seen some families moving in.
