The Bet (unaired Seinfeld episode)
- The Bet (unaired Seinfeld episode)
"The Bet" is an unaired second-season episode of the NBC situation comedy "Seinfeld". It was written by Larry Charles and involved Elaine Benes buying a handgun from a friend of Cosmo Kramer's. The episode was never filmed because its content was deemed unacceptable and a replacement called "The Phone Message" was hastily written by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. An inside look at this episode can be seen on the second season's DVD box set.
