Ariane Herde

Despite competing for the Netherlands Herde still lives in Dortmund, Germany. She competes in the international K1 slalom competitions. With the Dutch team she became 9th at the World Championships in Penrith, Australia in 2005. As an individual she reached the 21st position at the 2007 World Championships in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. At the 2008 European Championships she and her team mates achieved a fifth place in the team competition held in Krakow. Herde qualified herself for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
