Cuba retained the Pan American Games baseball title, with it's 9th consecutive gold medal in Pan American Games.
Tournament
The competition has 9 teams divided in two groups. In each group, each team plays against all others once and the eight best records advance to the quarterfinals. The best team from Group A will play the lowest ranked team from Group B and vice verca. Ties within a group will be broken by the team allowing the least amount of runs to pass to the knockout round.
