Shelley Matheson (born April 14, 1988) is Miss Greater Vancouver BC World 2008/2009. Shelley was crowned on July 20th, 2008 at the Miss B.C. World pageant in Langely, BC. She also won the Heart and Soul award, for most inspirational speech in BC. Shelley competed against 24 other girls for her title and award, and touched the hearts of everyone involved in the event. She will be representing Greater Vancouver and British Columbia at the Miss World Canada competition in mid-march, and possibly Miss World.

Shelley plans to use her title, in coordination with the British Columbia's Children's Hospital, to help raise money for children with cancer. The candidates charities of choice were self-chosen, and based on what mattered most to them, and based on their own personal experiences. Shelley's own life has been shaped through the children's hospital, and so she wants to help give other children the same survival story as she has herself. Shelley also plans to use her title to help with bullying problems in schools. She has mentioned numerous stories of bullying that she witnessed at her own highschool, and wants to educate students on the severity and outcome that bullying can potentially have.

As the reigning Miss Greater Vancouver, she has already made several high-profile appearances, and will continue to do so through out her reign.
