Iceland–Japan relations

Icelandic-Japanses relations are foreign relations between Iceland and Japan. Diplomatic relations between both countries were established in 1956. Both countries find common interest on the matter of whaling.Iceland has an embassy in Tokyo and 3 honorary consulates in Kyoto, Nagano-Sh, Tokyo. Japan has an embassy in Reykjavik.
