- Kauai Railway
The Kauai Railway is a former
narrow gauge railway company inHawaii ,United States . It was created 1906 and operated a convert|30|km|adj=on long railroad line in the track gauge of RailGauge|30 fromPort Allen toKoloa andKalaheo on the south coast of the island ofKauai . It did not have a connection to the other railway on the island, theAhukini Terminal and Railway , built in the same track width. The line was opened 1907. In 1936 the company name was changed to the Kauai Terminal Company. The date the last train ran is unknown, but was probably around 1947. The company continues to exist to this daywhen| date=September 2008 as the Kauai Commercial Company.References
