Early life
Julia Kaminska was born in
Gdansk to a family of PolishCatholics . Her father Krzysztof Kamiński was a sailingnaval engineer ; currently he teaches in one of the universities inTrójmiasto . Her mother Malgorzata Kamińska quit her job after the birth of their second child,Christian Kamiński in1991 .Julia's theatrical career started in middle school. In high school Julia also enjoyed some success as a
photo model : in 2005 she even was acover girl of a popular teenage magazine. However, neither the early headstart, nor the first steps in television didn't seem to affect her original career choice:German linguistics . In 2006 Julia started going to theUniversity of Gdansk where she is currently enlisted as a student in the School of Modern Languages.Theatrical career
While still in middle school, Julia joined
Wybrzezak [http://wybrzezak.org/] an education-oriented theater first located inGdansk , then moved toGdynia . InWybrzezak Julia assumed the title part in "Romeo and Juliet " where she played alongsideSzymon Jachimek andWojciech Tremiszewski , members of the popular "Kabaret Limo ". In 2003 she originated the part of Gloria in Wybrzezak/University of Northern Iowa co-production of TheDead Poet Society which was her last effort for the company.Television Career

Later that year she became a co-host for a local morning children show "Królestwo Mateusza " but left the program in the beginning of the following year. Later in2006 Julia joined the cast of "Ja wam pokażę! Early in 2008 Julia was cast as the lead character Ula in a
TVN show "BrzydUla ", a Polish remake of the internationally acclaimed "Betty la fea ". As opposed to the famous American version "Ugly Betty " that airs weekly, "BrzydUla " is formatted closer to the Colombian original and will air nightly during workdays starting September 2008 with approximately 250 episodes planned. In the show, very unglamorous and nerdy Ula works for a fancy fashion house Dom Mody Febo & Dobrzański. Following the original stroyline, Ula falls in love with her boss Marek Dobrzański played byFilip Bobek .Upcoming projects
Later in 2008 Julia is set to appear in
