The Johnstones are a Ska punk band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada formed in 2002 [http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=2995] . In 2006 they signed to Stomp Records of Montreal, released the full length album Word is Bond [http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=174755] and began touring Canada and the U.S. Their video for 'Gone for a Long Time' received 'buzz-worthy' status and gained heavy rotation on MuchMusic, staying on the charts for 8 weeks [http://www.stomprecords.com/bandsview.php?id=53] . In 2008, they released Sex, an E.P. produced by Flashlight Brown alumni Fil Bucchino and Matt Hughes [http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2008/05/0109.cfm] .

The Johnstones are both renowned and loathed for their "Unpredictable, unhinged and unforgiving" behaviour [http://www.punknews.org/bands/thejohnstones] , which has landed them in numerous hospital rooms and jail cells [http://www.thepunksite.com/interviews.php?page=johnstones] , culminating in a recent life-time ban from Disney World [http://www.johnstonessex.com/index.php/Misc/JohnstonesBio.html] .
