Ross A. Jones (born January 14, 1960 in
Miami, Florida ) is a formerMajor League Baseball player. Jones was drafted by theLos Angeles Dodgers in the 1st round as the 9th pick in the 1980 draft. He would make his debut for theNew York Mets in 1984. He played 17 games, and had one hit in ten at-bats. He would not play in the 1985 season, but would return in 1986, with theSeattle Mariners , having two hits in 21 at-bats, a .095 batting average. In 1987, Jones was traded to theKansas City Royals for Minor LeaguerRicky Rojas . Jones played in 39 games in 1987, with a .254 batting average. After the season was over, He signed a contract with theOakland Athletics , but never played a game with them.External Links
