Further research on maritime transport of hydrogen was done in thedevelopment for safe utilization and infrastructure of hydrogen project (2003-2007) [ [http://www.nedo.go.jp/kankobutsu/pamphlets/kouhou/2007gaiyo_e/79_86.pdf Development for safe utilization and infrastructure of hydrogen] ] .Similar as in an LNG ship the boil off gas is used for propulsion of the ship.
