RBG Resources was a British public-limited
firm based inLondon that was allegedly involved in a serious-fraud worth close to £300 million or US$600 million [http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2002/may/19/theobserver.observerbusiness14] . Four Rastogi brothers - Virendra, Narendra, Ravindra and Subhash - were involved in running the firm. All three were convicted of one count of conspiracy to defraud in April, for which the maximum penalty is 10 years in prison, although most prisoners are released after half their sentence. Narendra Kumar Rastogi, who was also deported from the US for evading custom duty worth Rs. 540 million in India, was on Friday, July 11 2008 also remanded into custody of
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI-India ) till July 18 by a court.
