It is primarily used for baseball, as the home field of the Hudson Valley Renegades minor league baseball team. The Renegades are the rookie-level team of the Tampa Bay Rays. It is also used for weddings and catered events.
The stadium hosts K1O4's annual KFest concert held in early June, as well as a rock concert, usually held in late August. Performing artists have included Akon, Fat Joe, Counting Crows, Collective Soul, Wilco, Def Leppard, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Adam Lambert, among others.
Visible from the stadium is Fishkill Correctional Facility as well as Interstate 84. Dutchess Stadium may hold the honor for the quickest stadium built ever. Construction began in March 1994 and was ready for opening Day in June. (Citation) According to the Renegades 2007 yearbook, "The paint was still being put on the foul-poles minutes before the game." It is unclear whether this is absolutely true, or just an exaggeration, however. This Stadium has a kids area which activities include an ice cream shop, a bouncy slide, and a bouncy house.
