Never Eat Soggy Wheaties

Never Eat Soggy Wheaties

Never Eat Soggy Wheaties (NESW) is a mnemonic used to teach children the orientation of the four cardinal points of a compass. The letters NESW represents the order of the four directions by starting at the top of the compass (North) and enumerating clockwise through the compasses remaining points.

Another similar mnemonic is "Never Eat Shredded Wheat".

In Australia, where Weetbix is a popular wheat cereal, the mnemonic is often "Never Eat Soggy Weetbix".
