Trails and Sails

Trails and Sails is an annual event sponsored each September by the Essex National Heritage Commission. Promoted as a “Weekend to Go! Experience Essex Heritage,” Trails and Sails is a series of free events celebrating historical, cultural and natural sites throughout Essex County, Massachusetts. Since its inception in 2002, sponsored events have included such activities as: whale watches, march walks, kayaking, biking, foraging walks, architectural talks, farm tours, and more. 2008 Events

In 2008, Trails and Sails will include over 200 free events held at over 135 historical sites throughout Essex County. A list of events and the towns holding them follows:
