Amisfield , in the Scottish county ofDumfries and Galloway . It was served by trains on a local line which ran between what is now known as theWest Coast Main Line at Lockerbie and theGlasgow South Western Line at Dumfries. The latter station is now the nearest to Amisfield.History
Opened by the
Dumfries, Lochmaben and Lockerbie Junction Railway , then part of theCaledonian Railway it became part of theLondon Midland and Scottish Railway during the Grouping of 1923, passing on to theScottish Region of British Railways during thenationalisation of 1948. It was then closed by theBritish Railways Board .The site today
