Edmund Port

Edmund Port (b. February 6, 1906, in Syracuse, NY, d. March 2, 1986) was a federal judge for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York. Judge Port graduated from Syracuse University College of Law with an LL.B. in 1929. He was nominated to the court by Lyndon B. Johnson on April 30, 1964, to a seat vacated by Stephen W. Brennan, confirmed by the Senate on July 1, 1964, and received his commission on July 2, 1964. He assumed senior status on February 7, 1976 and his service terminated on March 2, 1986, due to death.
